- I love all kinds of fabric and paper arts, from quilting to bookmaking, and enjoy how techniques and concepts diffuse from one discipline to another. In the real world, I design and produce polymer clay ornaments that lean way toward cute, so I try to avoid that in my other work/play.
So, what are "tootlings"? This little train, TOOTLE, would not stay on the tracks but loved to explore the meadow and pick buttercups. I guess there was a moral to the Little Golden Book story when he learned to behave himself, be on time, and do what good little trains should, but that's not what I remembered for the better part of six decades. I loved his mischievious wanderings so my "tootlings" refer to what happens to my train of thought when I start journaling or creating - no tracks!

This looks familiar! I had the one you made for me out the other day and was trying to find a way to photograph it, but didn't seem to have much success... I love my little halloween book! Your blog is just awesome... despite what you say, you got the hang of it immediately... I hope you keep it up... I love it.
Oops, my mistake. Now I remember that Carol's Halloween/birthday book had a bit more of a story and that this was a gift for Pam.
